Women's sport change rooms

20 Feb, 2012 01:30 PM

Greaves Reserve in West Dandenong is set to become more female-friendly, with plans to create women's change rooms at Alan Carter Pavilion.

The pavilion is home to White Star Soccer Club and Dandenong Women's Cricket Club.

Last week, the government announced $100,000 for the project, adding to $400,000 from Greater Dandenong Council.

I cannot believe that such a major announcement with the state minister and the mayor present only made a few lines in your paper. Local clubs need exposure to help grow. Your paper should be providing that exposure and growing awareness of the good work that the smaller clubs are doing with our young people.
