Greater Dandenong Council is set to slap a $500 bond on sporting clubs using its pavilions.
Under the bond system, clubs that continually damage or fail to clean their clubrooms can be kicked out and clubs that maintain their facilities will qualify for a fee subsidy.
At last Monday's council meeting, councillors John Kelly and Angela Long argued that the bonds would put financial stress on some clubs.
