IN a tradition that spans 140 years, Dandenong hosts its annual show this weekend.
The two-day show will have "more than ever before" including a Peterbilt truck on display, Whip Industries motorbike stunt shows, a battle of the bands and countless rides.
Dandenong Agricultural and Pastoral Society president Jeff Tully said he was hoping for a bumper crowd , lured by the family fun on offer.
"There's going to be more than ever," he said. "It's the 140th year - that's a real milestone and we're working off that. The [ticket] price hasn't gone up but there's more at the show than ever before."
Mr Tully encouraged migrants and refugees who have recently settled in the area to enjoy a day out at the Dandenong Show.
"We want everyone from all nationalities to come along and see what we do," he said. "It would be great to see them there."
While the Dandenong Show was impacted by heavy rain on the Saturday last year, Mr Tully said he had "ordered two days of 25 degree weather" this time around.
The Dandenong Show is on Saturday and Sunday at Greaves Reserve, off Bennett Street, Dandenong. Gates open from 9am both days. Pavilions close at 8.30pm Saturday and 5pm Sunday.
